3 Officers Reject Plea Deals in Brooks Beating Death

Three corrections officers charged in the fatal prison beating of Rochester-area inmate Robert Brooks have rejected their plea deals.

Anthony Farina, Nicholas Kieffer, and David Kingsley are accused of taking part in the assault on Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility in December.

And all three will face a murder charge at trial, with their next court date slated for June 3rd.

The beating came less than an hour after Brooks arrived there, and was captured on bodycam video.

One of the officers, Christopher Walrath, pleaded guilty to manslaughter last week, and faces up to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced in August.

Four more officers are due in court tomorrow morning.
