TENSE IN TEHRAN: White House Eliminates Energy ‘Waivers,’ Seeks to End All IRANIAN OIL Exports
The Trump administration unveiled its plan Monday to end “energy waivers” that effectively allowed eight foreign governments to purchase Iranian oil; a move designed to cripple the Islamic Republic’s major exporting sector.
“Any nation or entity interacting with Iran should do its diligence and air on the side of caution. The risks are simply not going to be worth the benefits,” said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
