UPDATE: 2nd Deadly Wayne County Crash Victim Identified

UPDATE: The victim of a deadly crash in Wolcott has been identified.

Troopers say 23-year-old Delaney Murray of Lyons was killed early Wednesday morning, when her car went off Route 104A and slammed into a utility pole.

The impact was so hard, Murray's car split into several pieces.

Two separate deadly crashes in Wayne County are under investigation

The first happened around 2 a.m. in Wolcott, where State Police say a 23-year-old woman was killed when her car left Route 104A and struck a utility pole so hard that the vehicle broke apart.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just a few hours later, around 6:20 a.m., Wayne County deputies responded to a fatal crash at Route 104 and Furnace Road in Ontario.

Deputies say 80-year-old Richard Curran of Tempe, Arizona, was attempting to turn onto Furnace Road when his vehicle collided with an oncoming car driven by 28-year-old Ridley Hall of Webster.

Curran died at the scene.

Hall was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
