Rochester Man Says ICE Tracked Him Over Email

A Rochester man says federal immigration agents visited his home, and later tracked him to a New York City hotel to deliver a warning about an email he sent to the former acting head of ICE.

David Streever says the January message harshly criticized then-ICE Director Todd Lyons but did not contain threats.

Streever says he had planned to return agents’ calls until they showed up at his hotel after he returned from a family trip to Finland.

He says he's since spoken with free-speech attorneys and members of Congress, and plans to investigate how agents tracked his travel.

Homeland Security has not publicly explained the visits.
