The man killed in a police chase in Rochester last week has been identified.
Troopers say 38-year-old Tyson Thomas took off from a traffic stop Friday morning on Avenue D, near Hudson.
He then ran over spike strips on Lake Avenue, slamming into a Jeep carrying three people.
Thomas's car caught fire, and he was trapped inside.
He died at the scene.
The three people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
