There is a guilty verdict in an unprovoked attack on a hiker on Perinton's Indian Hill Park Trail.
Derrick Van Epps was convicted of attempted murder and hate crime charges.
Investigators said Dylan Ghaemi was attacked from behind last June and stabbed several times with a hunting knife.
The prosecution said Van Epps intended to kill him, and Ghaemi was targeted because of his race
Van Epps rejected a plea offer before the trial.
