The City of Rochester is taking steps to fire a city crossing guard accused of raping an 18-year-old.
58-year-old Wayne Plummer was arrested Saturday, hours after police say he picked up the young woman outside the ABC School of Driving on State Street.
Police say Plummer drove her to his apartment on Hudson Avenue and sexually assaulted her.
The woman was able to message a family member for help, and officers arrived and arrested Plummer.
Bail was set at $5,000. Charges include two counts of rape and one count each of sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment.
