Rochester Man Guilty in 2022 Robbery, Murder

A Rochester man has been found guilty of murder and robbery in the shooting death of a local musician more than three years ago.

Prosecutors say Rahjule Keeton killed 29-year-old James Hallenbeck during a robbery on Olean Street in August 2022.

Keeton was arrested last November.

The jury returned its verdict Tuesday after a trial that began last week.

Police have said a second suspect may still be involved

Friends of Hallenbeck filled the courtroom, remembering him as a talented musician and close friend.

Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
