A convicted sex offender is accused of sexually abusing a child in Livingston County.
Deputies say 35-year-old Derek Getman assaulted a child under 11 years old in Groveland.
The investigation began in March.
Getman was arrested Tuesday, after his release from jail on an unrelated charge.
He now faces 1st-degree sexual abuse.
Getman was convicted of predatory sexual assault in 2019, for sexually abusing a 7-year-old in West Sparta.
