Person of Interest Sought in Deadly Rochester Gas Station Shooting

Rochester Police are asking for the public’s help as they continue investigating a deadly shooting at a city gas station last fall.

Detectives have released new surveillance video showing a person of interest in the November killing of 36‑year‑old Willie Mayhaw.

He was shot while sitting in his car on Saint Paul Street.

Detective Peter Helfer tells 13 WHAM the suspect waited across the street before the shooting and may have run east on Norton Street, cutting through nearby backyards to get away.
