Rochester Man Sentenced in Northeast Side Shooting

A Rochester man who admitted to wounding another man in a shooting on the city's northeast side will serve 10 years in prison.

21-year-old Daveon Cooper pleaded guilty to 1st-degree assault and a gun crime.

Prosecutors say he shot a 19-year-old on North Goodman Street, between Bay Street and Central Park, last June.

The victim survived, but with life-altering injuries.
