Federal Judge Stops Wayne County Immigrant's Deportation

A federal judge has put the deportation of a Wayne County immigrant on hold.

Dolores Bustamante was detained during an in-person check-in in Buffalo this week.

She's now being held at an ICE detention center in Louisiana.

U.S. District Court Judge Meredith Vacca has issued a temporary restraining order -- no hearing is set yet.

Bustamante arrived in the country in 2000 -- a removal order for her has been in place since 2020, and her appeals ran out 3 years ago.
