The U.S. Supreme Court won't take up a lawsuit against former Governor Andrew Cuomo over thousands of COVID-19 nursing home deaths.
A lower court judge had dismissed a class action suit holding Cuomo responsible for COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes, calling the claims, "legally deficient."
The judge found the plaintiffs don't have a right to sue Cuomo in federal court over his March 2020 order requiring New York nursing homes to admit COVID-infected patients.
The Supreme Court didn't give a reason for declining to hear the case.
