UPDATE: The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the driver killed in a head-on crash Monday on Scottsville Road.
They say 29-year-old Hashini Herath was behind the wheel when a pickup truck trying to pass another car on the two-lane road crashed into her.
Herath was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her passenger went to the hospital but is recovering, and the two people in the truck suffered minor injuries.

A crash in Chili has left one woman dead.
Deputies say the victim in her 20s was hit head-on by a truck passing another car shortly before 7 last night on Scottsville Road, between Mile Wood and Morgan roads.
She was dead at the scene, while a passenger was taken to the hospital, but is expected to survive.
Two people in the truck had minor injuries.
The truck's driver was ticketed.
The crash closed a portion of Scottsville Road for several hours.
