Rochester Man Sentenced in Deadly High-Speed Crash

The man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a high-speed crash that killed his passenger has been sentenced to 4 to 8 years in prison.

43-year-old Ryan Armstrong of Rochester, along with 56-year-old Reginald Russell, stole from the Brockport Walgreens last September, before speeding away in a U-Haul.

Armstrong then led police on a high-speed chase before the truck crashed into the Erie Canal near Sans Souci Canal Park.

Armstrong made it to shore, but Russell drowned
