The former commander of the Geneva American Legion will spend 3 to 9 years in jail.
Dale Mosher was found guilty of taking over $100,000 from the Legion Post over several years.
He fled after his initial court appearance and was also charged with sending threatening letters to witnesses in the case, while on the run near Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
In addition to the time in jail, Mosher was ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution.
That's the amount that wasn't covered by insurance.
