A 21-year-old Rochester man has been sentenced for an August 2024 homicide.
Timothy Brooks was sentenced to 18 years to life for his murder conviction in the death of 39-year-old James Jackson Junior.
Investigators said Brooks was with then-17-year-old Rafael Marquez when Marquez shot Jackson on Cuba Place in the Upper Falls neighborhood.
Jackson died after striking a pole when he tried to drive away
Marquez was sentenced last year to 23 years in prison for his manslaughter plea.
