Two accomplices in the fire that killed 5-year-old Malakai Stovall in a Portland Avenue fire in July of last year were sentenced, but the person guilty of murder was not.
Roy Chambers has pleaded guilty to arson and will spend 9 years in prison with the possibility of parole in 5 years
Tikayla Hendrix also pleaded guilty to arson and was sentenced to 12 years in prison with 5 years post-release supervision.
Her sister, Taquida Hendrix, the ringleader found guilty of murder and arson, will not be sentenced until January to allow for a previously undiscovered pre-sentencing hearing required because she is a domestic violence victim.
