Rochester Man Wounded in West Side Stabbing

A Rochester man is in the hospital after a stabbing this morning on the city's west side.

Police say the 44-year-old was slashed in the upper body shortly after 7 at a gas station on Lyell Avenue, near Rutter Street.

He's expected to survive.

A 48-year-old woman will face a 2nd-degree assault charge -- police say she and the victim knew one another.

They also say another man was able to use his legally-owned gun to help end the attack.
