UPDATE: The man killed in a crash in Mendon Ponds Park has been identified as Guillermo Martinez Gallego of Pittsford.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a driver is dead after slamming into a tree late Wednesday morning in Mendon Ponds Park.
The crash happened on Hopkins Point Road.
Deputies say the car went off the road and into the tree and burst into flames.
Deputies and firefighters arrived to find the car engulfed in flames and the driver dead inside.
