Ontario County health officials have confirmed a case of West Nile Virus.
They say it was caught by a person in the Northern section of the county, through a mosquito bite.
A person over 50 is recovering.
That's significant because anyone over that age or with other health issues is at greater risk
For prevention, they say you should wear long pants and sleeves, apply repellents, and get rid of standing water
