UPDATE: Suspect, Victim Identified in Deadly Northeast Rochester Stabbing

UPDATE: Police say 59-year-old Laverne Singletary was stabbed with a screwdriver in the parking lot of a gas station.

32-year-old Antonio McKnight faces second-degree murder charges.

RPD says the two were both homeless and involved in an argument with each other.

One man is dead, after a stabbing on Rochester's northeast side.

Police say someone slashed a man in his 50s in the parking lot of a gas station on Portland Avenue, near Clifford Avenue, just before 6 this morning.

He was rushed to Strong Hospital, where he later died.

He's the 25th homicide victim in the city so far this year.

A man in his 30s is in custody.
