Man Arrested After Rochester General Hospital Lockdown

The man who prompted yesterday's lockdown at Rochester General is facing several charges.

Greece Police say 47-year-old Steven Ploof tried to run over officers who were doing a welfare check on him Monday.

He then ran off into the woods near Maiden Lane, where he was detained.

Ploof would go on to allegedly escape from RGH, prompting the 2-hour lockdown, before he was captured on Joseph Avenue.

Ploof will be charged with attempted aggravated assault on a police officer, menacing, resisting arrest, and escape.
