Former Bus Driver Sentenced for Conduct with Teen Student on Bus

A 76-year-old Rochester school bus driver has been sentenced to ten years in prison.

Thomas Rosario was a bus driver in Monroe County, who was arrested after investigators found he had allowed a 13-year-old girl to sit in the front seat of the bus while driving her to school.

During the drive, he engaged in personal and sexually-explicit conversation with her and asked if she had ever had sex.

Rosario also gave the victim his phone number and encouraged her to call him if she ever wanted to skip school.

The bus's surveillance system picked up the conversation as Rosario did the same thing on the girl's trip home from school.

Investigators also located surveillance camera video of the victim meeting the girl in a store and telling her not to reveal what they had talked about.

Rosario was tried and convicted of attempting to receive child pornography.
