Rochester Man Arrested After Genesee River Gorge Rescue

A Rochester man is in custody, after he was rescued from the Genesee River Gorge after allegedly running from police.

The 22-year-old was allegedly part of a group of dirt bike riders who attacked a woman's car last night on the Driving Park Bridge.

Police say the group began punching and kicking her vechile, and at one point, one of them fired a shot.

The riders then sped away, with officers giving chase.

That's when the man became trapped on a steep embankment.

He was eventually pulled out and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

He'll be charged with fleeing a police officer.
