Monroe DA Doorley Announces Retirement

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley is announcing her retirement, effective at the end of August.

It comes after the state’s Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct recommended a public censure for Doorley.

And it's 16 months after Doorley's infamous traffic stop in Webster, where she was seen on body camera video berating an officer.

Sources have told our Bob Lonsberry they expect Irondequoit Town Judge and former ADA Brian Green to be tapped by Governor Hochul to serve as interim DA.

He would stay on until a special election to finish the rest of her term is held in November of next year.

Doorley's term expires at the end of 2027.

She has served as DA since 2012, and has been with the DA's office since 1992.
