Rochester police are probing two shootings just blocks and minutes apart on the city's east side.

They say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg on Parsells Avenue, near Merchants Road, at around 12:15 this morning.

Just over half an hour later, a 24-year-old man also took a round to the leg on Melville Street.

Both victims are expected to survive, and there are no arrests.

Police don't know if the shootings are connected.
