A Steuben County man will serve 15 years in prison for a crash that killed a Livingston County man.
28-year-old Michael Eldridge of Hornell was convicted in April of manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, assault, and reckless endangerment.
Troopers say Eldridge's car crossed the center line on Route 415 in Avoca in August 2023, hitting a car driven by 51-year-old Michael Hinrich of Nunda.
Eldridge was driving 87 miles per hour at the time, and had smoked marijuana for 7 consecutive hours before getting behind the wheel.
