Rochester police are probing a stabbing and a shooting -- just 3 blocks apart.
They say a 37-year-old man was shot in the upper body shortly after 5 yesterday afternoon at Dewey Avenue and Palm Street.
Police don't know what led up to the shooting.
About 5 hours later, a 35-year-old man was stabbed in the leg during a fight at Dewey and Ridgeway avenues.
Both victims were taken by private vehicle and are expected to survive.
There are no arrests in either incident.
