A judge has accepted a mental illness plea in the case of a mother accused of starving her son to death and leaving him in a closet.
Passion Anderson has said she is Not Responsible for Reason of Mental Defect in the case of her malnourished and dehydrated son found dead in their apartment on Manhattan Square in 2023.
She was initially chared with second degree murder in the case, but was found unfit to stand trial.
Supreme Court Judge Victoria Argento has ordered a mental examination and she is being held in the Rochester Psychiatric Center .
