Canandaigua Child Rapist Faces More Charges

A Canandaigua man arrested last month after fleeing sentencing on a child sex assault charge is facing more charges.

43-year-old Daniel Sevigny is now charged with 1st-degree rape.

Deputies say he forciblly raped a victim multiple times during this past January and February.

Sevigny allegedly cut off his ankle monitor last month, as he was to be sentenced on predatory sexual assault against a minor.

He was convicted in the rape of a 13-year-old girl in 2001.
