Rochester Double Murder Suspect Arrested in Texas

Rochester police have an arrest in a double murder that took place nearly a year ago on Lyell Avenue.

They've charged 29-year-old Lakwan Hannah with firing the shots that killed Jared Perry and Marquis Chambers.

Two other victims, women in their 20s, were wounded but survived.

Hannah had argued with the victims earlier that evening, and returned with a gun.

He opened fire immediately after getting out of his car.

Detectives learned that Hannah had been arrested in Texas after fleeing New York.

He was being held in the Tarrant County jail after giving a false ID during a drug arrest.

Hannah is now charged with first-degree murder, two counts of assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

He now faces extradition back to Rochester.
