The man found guilty of shooting an East Rochester police officer has been sentenced to 35-years-to-life for Attempted Murder.
52-year-old Raymond Noel was found guilty in November of Attempted Aggravated Murder, as well as Attempted Aggravated Assault of an officer, and two gun crimes.
Prosecutors say it happened during a domestic call in January of last year.
When Officer Brad Steve encountered Noel walking on Garfield Street, Noel allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at Steve.
Noel shot the officer, who was saved by his bulletproof vest.
Officer Steve fired back, wounding Noel, who has since recovered.
