RPD Makes Arrest in Thanksgiving Shooting

Rochester police have an arrest in a shooting on the city's southwest side on Thanksgiving.

28-year-old Abdi Mohammed faces assault, robbery, and gun crimes.

He allegedly shot a man in his 20s at least 10 times on Exchange Street, near Flint Street, then robbed him.

The victim was left lying for about 7 hours, before flagging a passing jogger for help.

The wounds were life-threatening, but the man survived.

RPD officers and U.S. Marshals arrested Mohammed yesterday on West Broad Street.
