Rochester Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Charges in Henrietta Kidnapping

A Rochester man charged in the kidnapping of a woman from a Henrietta motel has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Cordell Brooks will serve a nine-year prison term as part of a plea deal.

Prosecutors say Brooks, along with Shuntiayana Sims, dragged a woman out of the Microtel lobby back in July of last year and threw her into a car.

Brooks still faces state charges of sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, kidnapping, and assault.

Sims pleaded guilty to kidnapping and assault a year ago.
