Former Rochester Firefighter Sentenced on Child Porn Charges

A former Rochester firefighter will serve more than 17 years in prison after pleading guilty on child pornography charges.

Police said Brett Marrapese convinced a 13-year-old girl to send him pornographic video and images over Snapchat.

The girl's father contacted the Irondequoit Police Department which got a warrant to search Marrapese's home, camper and fire station locker.

They found more than 1,300 pornographic images.

State Police at the same time were investigating someone in Rochester uploading child porn and linked those uploads to Marrapese.

Marrapese pleaded guilty to receiving and distributing child pornography.

He was sentenced to 17-and-a-half years in prison and 15 years of post-release supervision.
