3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Reported In US

A 4.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Thursday (November 7), according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was centered in Borrego Springs at a depth of 9.8 kilometers (about six miles). The USGS said it received 257 reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.

The California earthquake was reported two days after a 4.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Greece on Tuesday (November 5), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Chalandrítsa at a depth of 82.3 kilometers (about 51.1 miles).

The Greece earthquake was reported hours before a 4.8-magnitude earthquake was reported in Hawaii on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Pāhala at a depth of 38.4 kilometers (about 23.9 miles).

The Hawaii earthquake was reported hours after a 3.3-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Monday (November 4), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Anza at a depth of 12.1 kilometers (about 7.5 miles).

The three earthquakes were reported four days after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake was reported in Oregon last Wednesday (October 30), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Windsor at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles).

The Oregon earthquake was reported hours after a 3.2-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Windsor at a depth of 7.3 kilometers (about 4.5 miles).
