The reputed leader of a drug trafficking ring in Ontario County has been caught near Charlotte, North Carolina.
Authorities say 37-year-old Sharif Parker,also known as "Reef," fled last December, when ten co-defendants were indicted and arrested.
He was charged with drug and gun possession crimes, money laundering, and conspiracy.
Searches last year in Ontario, Wayne, Seneca and Monroe counties turned up drugs, five handguns, a rifle, and $30,000 cash.
Parker was arrested last week, and Ontario County authorities are working to have him extradited to face the charges.
