The man accused of gunning down a Webster native on the Cleveland police force has been found unfit to stand trial.
25-year-old De' Lawnte Hardy is charged with aggravated murder in the shooting death of 27-year-old Jamieson Ritter on July 4th.
Ritter was among several officers attempting to arrest Hardy in the shooting of his grandmother days before.
Ritter was a 4-year veteran of the Cleveland Police Department and was a 2015 McQuaid graduate.
Ritter's father, Jon, retired from the Greece Police Department in 2013, shortly after he was wounded in the response to the West Webster ambush.
Hardy will remain hospitalized for now, but could stand trial if his condition improves.
