Parolee Convicted in Bizarre Scrantom St. Break-In

A man on parole for a 1993 murder arrested for break-ins at two homes on Scrantom Street, on Rochester's north side, has been found guilty.

City police say 51-year-old Laurice Howard broke a window at a house last October, got inside and laid down with unzipped pants next to a child on the couch.

The people there chased him away, but police say he kicked in a door to get inside a house down the street.

Police arrested him there.

Howard was convicted of burglary as a sexually-motivated felony and criminal trespass.

He'll be sentenced next month.
