Rochester police have made an arrest in a shooting incident back in May on Wilkins Street.
The victim was sitting in a parked car when two other men came up, pointed a gun at him and tried to rob him.
They shot him and then fled.
The victim made it to the hospital and survived.
Police were able to track the gun used in the incident and link it to a 17-year-old male.
A search of a house on Herald Street led to the arrest of that 17-year-old and recovery of the gun.
U.S. Marshals went looking for the second suspect and found him.
19-year-old Malachi Welch was arrested on Hudson Avenue.
Both suspects are charged with criminal possession of a firearm and Welch is charged with prohibited use of a weapon.
