Webster Native Killed in Line of Duty in Cleveland

Webster is mourning the death of one of their own in the line of duty.

27-year-old Jamieson Ritter was gunned down early July 4th morning while working as a Cleveland police officer.

Chief Annie Todd says her entire department is reeling from Ritter's death.

Ritter was a 4-year veteran of the Cleveland Police Department, and was a 2015 McQuaid graduate.

In a statement, school officials say Ritter embodied service, justice, and leadership.

Ritter's father, Jon, was a longtime officer in Greece, before his 2013 retirement.

24-year-old Delawnte Hardy is charged with aggravated murder in Ritter's shooting.
