Man Sentenced in Fatal Dewey Ave. Drive-By Shooting

One of the two men arrested in a deadly drive-by shooting from a stolen car will serve 15 years in prison.

27-year-old Kirsean Chatfield pleaded guilty in May to 1st-degree manslaughter.

He and 18-year-old Keyvin Miller were originally charged with murder and gun crimes in the shooting death of 21-year-old Eric Martin on Dewey Avenue in May of last year.

Police say Martin was not the intended target.

The suspects then used another stolen car to shoot at a group of people on Parsells Avenue an hour later.

No one was hurt in that shooting.

Miller is expected to be sentenced to 25 years in prison later this month.
