Rochester police say charges are pending in an investigation that began with gunfire in the Beechwood neighborhood.
An empty building near Culver Road and Parsells Avenue was hit yesterday by gunfire and a car was seen speeding away.
A car matching the description was stopped by officers on Clifford Avenue, and a 19-year-old passenger ran off.
He was seen throwing away a gun, then was taken into custody.
Officers also recovered the gun.
Police are still working to determine if the man and the gun are connected to the shooting.
