Man Sentenced in Rochester Boarding House Homicide

A Rochester man who pleaded guilty in a July homicide at a boarding house was sentenced today to 10 years in prison.

31-year-old Kevin Dukes pleaded guilty to manslaughter in April.

Police say he killed Constance Henry by stabbing her several times at the house on Whitney Street.

Henry had come to the aid of a woman who had a protective order against Dukes.

Dukes originally faced 2nd-degree murder and contempt charges.

Dukes previously served 9 years in prison for a criminal sex act conviction, and is a Level 3 sex offender.
