Two Chicago men are accused of scamming a Mount Morris resident out of $300,000.

Deputies say 31-year-old Mateen Mohammed and 24-year-old Akber Mohammed posed as U.S. Justice Department employees, claiming the victim's computer was hacked.

Both were arrested as they tried to pick up an item, which was among precious metals and gems they had the victim purchase.

They're each charged with attempted grand larceny, conspiracy, and petit larceny.
