Rochester Police Probe 3 Homicides in 24 Hours

Rochester police are saying more about the three homicides, and other violence, since Sunday morning.

In the latest case, a driver of a marked taxi cab was shot to death overnight on Bay Street.

His cab was found abandoned on Central Park.

Chief David Smith says 53-year-old Myron Fair was found last night at the entrance to the Pinnacle Apartments on South Clinton, with trauma to the body. He died at the hospital.

Sunday, 35-year-old Ricky Elliott was shot to death on Day Place.

Smith and Mayor Evans encourage anyone with knowledge about what happened to report it anonymously: either to Crimestoppers, or to City Hall with the ReportIt app.

Evans says passing along helpful information is not snitching:

In addition to the homicides, a 15-year-old boy was shot this morning on Hudson Avenue, and two men were shot yesterday on Avenue C.
