Timothy Williams has been sentenced to three concurrent terms of 25 years to life in prison for the Thanksgiving 1984 rape and murder of 14-year-old Wendy Jerome.
The 60-year-old was found guilty last month.
Jerome's body was discovered near a trash bin near Rochester's School 33.
Williams became a suspect in 2020 after DNA from the crime scene was connected to his relative's DNA in a database.
Williams's conviction is the first in New York to have come from the use of a Familial DNA search.
