A Canandaigua man will serve life in prison for his role in the murder of a 6-year-old boy in South Carolina.
19-year-old Jeremiah Harley has pleaded guilty to a murder charge in the shooting death of Winston O’Conner Hunter in May 2022.
Prosecutors say Hunter was sitting on the couch of his family's home, when Harley and three other men opened fire on it.
They mistakenly believed a drug dealer lived there.
21-year-old Seth Phillips of Farmington is still facing a murder charge in the shooting.
