A former East Irondequoit teacher's aide could serve up to 14 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Leonard Ortiz Junior was trading child porn over social media.
He pleaded guilty to a federal child pornography charge.
Ortiz allegedly had over 600 photos and 100 videos on his cellphone showing young children being sexually abused.
East Irondequoit school officials say Ortiz was fired in December 2022 when the State Police investigation began, and that none of the images on Ortiz's phone were of East Irondequoit students.
Ortiz was arrested in March of last year.
